Fox Business Channel!

It is a Conservative leaning Opinion Channel. No more, no less.

So now you are back peddling. Now you are saying it is conservative leaning, as in just tilted right over left. Up until now you've had us thinking you thought George W Bush was behind a curtain Wizard of Oz style running the show, spewing out right wing propaganda.

I guess when all of us are so use to getting fed far left news (CNN, NBC, NYTimes, etc) for decades, one might feel that something more middle of the road has a right leaning feel. So, I'll concede that given what you and the rest of us are use to, in comparison it could be perceived as leaning to the right. But give yourself some time and watch the channel. Get your left leaning expectations out of your head and watch a middle of the road channel, Fox News. Give it a chance!

Umm, actually that would be DICK Cheney behind that curtain. Geogie Boy kept getting confused with all the lights and levers. :D ;)

I wouldn't talk about Rupert in that tone if you know what is good for you and you enjoy your life and family...

Get your left leaning expectations out of your head and watch a middle of the road channel, Fox News.

Faux News Nutworks falls somewhere in the middle of the road between Jerry Springer "Avenue" and 700 Club "Street."

You do know that over 80% of reporters at your "unbiased" news sources like CNN, CBS, etc. are admitted liberals, don't you? For all of you who get your "unbiased news" from CNN, CBS, PBS, NPR, BBC and all of these other sources, go out and read a book please. You may have heard of it. It is by a former CBS reporter. He is a Dem. He has never voted for anybody but a Dem. The book is called "Bias: A CBS Insider Exposes How the Media Distort the News." It was written by Bernard Goldberg. It will make you think about the "news" we have heard over the years. Sometimes it is not in how they report but in what they report. For example: During GHW Bush's presidency, there were hundreds of reports were done on homelessness. It was an epidimic that was sweeping the entire country. But as soon as Clinton was elected, 99% of those reports went away. Did homelessness go away overnight? No, but the stories sure did.

No someone got a BJ in the white house so they had to spend all their time reporting on that... Those evil liberal media wouldnt stop reporting on it..

The "Main stream media" Reports on what will sell. Bashing clinton and reporting on his BJ sold... They are more and more less in it for the news then they are the story. They dont care if its a liberal or a conservative being bashed, as long as its selling commercials. Good news stories = dont sell soap.. Bad news stories? that sells.

Is that the ebonics I keep hearing about? Or did you invent your own language that only you can understand?

Go take an English Rosetta Stone coarse, please.

Because FNC costs more per sub per month than CNN? :eureka

I can't believe FOX screwed up a give-me with FBN. They should have given it to everyone free (DISH, cable, etc) and tell them to put it in the basic tier and then they can negotiate in 6 months or a year if anyone cares (or get enough people hooked onto the channel to be able to charge something for it).

The way they are doing things, I'm quite happy with their foul-up! I have AT100 so I'll never have to try it out or maybe even watch that channel or pay for it if charlie eventually gets it and sticks it in the AT200 or higher tiers.

NBC Universal is the brightest business channel programmer by not being fussy and letting CNBC get to the masses. I love my CNBC (and the sexy Erin Burnett!!!!!) :hungry:

I just wish MSNBC was in the AT100+ as I always enjoy the way they cover the news and the programming they offer. I'm a college football fan but, when I once had cable, I will admit to switching over to MSNBC to see what kind of program was on. (It was usually a special about a murder investigation or something along those lines). A lot of people around here say things like, "Noggin will be in AT100 next", "SOAPNet will be in AT100 next", "ESPNClassic will be in AT100 next" and, no disrespect to any of them (and I'd actually enjoy the ESPNClassic), but I hope the next thing to move to AT100 will be MSNBC! MANY of the subscribers would enjoy that.

If FBN is at all like Fox News then who would want it? I'd hate to base any of my portfolio decisions on a one sided, biased right wing fringe group's "reporting" of the financial markets.

I can just imaging the news ticker running at the bottom...

Pharmaceutical News - Merek might be working on new wonder drug to cure homosexuals. Pfizer might agree to place warning label on Viagra that states the pill is only for married couples. Energy News - Exxon might say not to worry about peak oil as earth might be proven to be 13,232 years old which would lend hope that fossil fuels only take hundreds of years to create not millions...

No thanks. I say lets not have it and that way we can't get secretly charged for it.

Wow very brilliant post. Can't even spell Merck

I expect FBN on DishNetwork. The sooner the better.

I feel guilty watching it everyday on cable. As a subscriber to Dish's AT250 as well I was upset that they didn't add it, the HD version more specifically. I am still surprised Bright House cable added it as quick as they did, but it is probably a result of that deal with Time Warner and Fox Business. They agreed to carry Fox Business in the analog tier in NYC and carry it on digital in the rest of their markets. BHN got it because from what I have heard, BHN is attached to TWC as far as negotiating and channel adds, even though they are a separate company (once managed by TW and carried the same name).

Hey, speaking of Rosetta Stones, buy one yourself and learn how to spell course (as in learning) and not coarse (as in rough or uneven). :D

Yep, I went into uncontrollable spasms and to leave (after I laughed my rear off) the page quickly also. I hope he didn't spend all his money learning to write like that! ;) And I hope you’re all better now. :D

My God, to think I thought the ebonics were bad on this site... I just got off Halo 3 on xbox live and it never ceases to amaze me the cluster of "words" that come out of some people's mouths. I asked one guy what language he was speaking and advised him that we could work as a team if he could speak to me in English. He mumbled something implying he was speaking English.

These guys need to drop the "poetic rhyme" rap crap, and speak clearly.

Not to pick on you black guys, but it is 99% blacks that speak ebonics. The rest of the nation would appreciate you speaking and writing clear English. I know several blacks that do not speak ebonics and they are all very successful in their lines of work (not repressed by the white establishment, as so many think they are kept down). When you speak ebonics, you come across as an idiot, like the white dude with long hair and visible tattoos. I have always said that there is nothing wrong with tattoos, I have some, but that the general rule is that you don't get a tattoo where others can see them when you are wearing a business suit (IE hands, neck and face). Get all on your ass, arm, penis, whatever, just don't get them on a place that will get you escorted out early at an interview. Same thing with talking muffled. Talk clear and nice plain English. People think old men run this country, well fine, cater to the old white men and speak so they can understand you. It is not old white men keeping you down, it is you guys. Listen to Bill Cosby and what the man has to say.

Good luck to all at your new found professionalism.
