January Scheduling Successes Carry Over

TV’s No. 1 network is likely to kick off upfront week by announcing a new schedule marked by stability—and maybe a surprise or two.
Fox, which is finishing its fifth season as the top-rated network among adults 18-49, is taking over NBC’s traditional Monday kickoff slot this year at the advertising market in New York. That means Fox won’t have the luxury of knowing all of its rivals’ plans before it makes its moves.

Fox fills in fall lineup with 3 new series, 'Dance'

Fox is taking steps this year to prevent itself from falling down, as usual, in fall.
The network is turning to the first in-season edition of So You Think You Can Dance, which will compete with ABC's Dancing With the Stars (though not directly against it) for viewers.

A few surprises included in Monday's announceme

New Fox Entertainment chairman Peter Rice and entertainment prexy Kevin Reilly are set to announce a new 52-week schedule on Monday that is consistent with the network's current lineup -- but with one or two surprises.According to Fox scheduling chief Preston Beckman, the net's goal is to come into the fall with several returning shows and a sense of stability -- "but the feeling of aggressiveness with the schedule."
