"Fox Sports said all of its future widescreen sports broadcasts would transmit Dolby Digital 5.1 audio with widescreen standard definition video." :yes

Of interest to you HD set owners - Fox also stated:
"The network continues to eschew high-definition TV, stating that there is not enough digital TV sets in consumers’ homes capable of receiving the signals to justify the cost." :confused: :no:

At least I'll be able to HEAR the Packers smack the rest of the NFL this fall - I just won't be able to SEE them in HD.

Seems like Charlie E. and Rupert M. think alike when it comes to HD.
 
This must be a old quote from Fox because Fox has already announced that in late 2004 they will begin doing 720 HD.
 
And then none of the baseball coverage except the all star game and World Series had DD5.1 coverage.
