60Hz is common, 120 is marginally better, 240 perhaps better, and the numbers claimed by some plasma sales critters are to be ignored.

the 480hz plasma claims are a not for what they'd have you think. That being said, there is only one LCD out now that outperforms plasma in the motion department, and thats a Sammy 950 series.
