Free DVD player

Has anyone received the free dvd player that DTV is offering to new subscribers??
What brand/model?

I got mine 3 weeks ago.

Had to wait about 6 to 8 weeks before I got it. It's a Alpha Digital with a 7 inch widescreen LCD. It works perfectly. I did some research and Alpha Digital is a cheap version of Panasonic. Nice little DVD player for free.

Funny thing is, DTV pulled all incentive offerings from Dealers about a year ago, ( meaning dealers CANT offer specials, or free sh*t ) then started offering the dvd player if you came directly to them. Gotta love top notch companys like these that cut their own dealers throats. Then wonder why they get the loyalty they do from installers and dealers.

I was supposed to get a portable but they said they were out of them, and sent me a cheap home unit instead. I'd rather have the portable.

Yes, I received mine. It's ok for what it is supposed to do.

I never got one. I was even asked specifically if I was calling about the free portable DVD player when I first ordered DirecTV last year.
