I previously was able to configure my VZW phone to enable "free" WAP. At some point, VZW started sending an update that disabled the setting change I made and revert everything back to their (paid) service. We have one of the "America's Choice" calling plans and using data via this reconfiguration simply deducted minutes, which we always had plenty of leftover.
Our cell phone bill is almost $90/month currently and that's too much as far as I'm concerned, so adding a "data plan" is out of the question. I could add a pay-as-you-go plan but that could easily get out of hand.
Does anyone do this themselves today ?
