Thinking of switching (almost certain I am) to D* at the end of the month. Getting the Genie w/ 2 clients and the Choice Xtra package. All I'm waiting on is for me to clean out the 625 I currently have (I have shows way from September I still haven't watched yet) also waiting on my schedule the week before Easter to come out and my check that has my bonus and the one that comes out 2 days before my birthday. All I can say is FINALLY, bring it on DirecTV. Plus it will be a birthday gift to myself since I will most likely schedule the install for the day of my Birthday if I don't get off early enough on the 29th.

Welcome to Directv. (Soon) I think you'll like it. At first you'll feel lost trying to figure out the channel numbers and how the receiver works.
In a few days it should start getting easier. You have a QuickTune feature so you can quickly tune to 9 of your favorite channels while you're still learning.
