Hey fellas, anybody have any idea where everybody here in NW Arkansas is 'moving' to get their HD Networks? I was 'living' in Nashville, which worked fine up until last week.

Any advice would be appreciated,
George

It would help to know all the orbital locations you are pointed at...

Sure, my Dish 1000 is looking at 129, 119 and 110. I was told that if I could 'see' Sat 129 and spot 29, Kansas City would work. Would that mean transponder 29?

Thanks for any advice,
George

Fort Smith is right on the fringe of Spotbeam 29 < http://www.satelliteguys.us/thelist/database/Subscription/images/CIEL2_SB29.jpg > Digiblur, Smith or Nelson would know what TPs are active on that beam and you would be able to 'move' to any city within that beam if you get an acceptable signal, which you probably will...

By the way, you are probably also sitting in Spotbeam 30 < http://www.satelliteguys.us/thelist/database/Subscription/images/CIEL2_SB30.jpg > so any stations that are there, such as Indy, would also work...

One more ammendemum, you look like you may also be in Spotbeam 36 < http://www.satelliteguys.us/thelist/database/Subscription/images/CIEL2_SB36.jpg > and on the fringe of Spotbeam 37 < http://www.satelliteguys.us/thelist/database/Subscription/images/CIEL2_SB37.jpg > As long as none of the TPs overlap, you can pull a lot of different spotbeams in. If they do overlap you will get interference and could be SOL...

Here's a map of SB29. The KC locals are on Transponder 4 according to The List. You need to check the SS of that transponder. The map shows the KC beam stopping short of AR but Digi says the beams are a bit hot so you may get adequate strength depending on exactly where you are. There are other spot beams that cover NW AR such as SB37 (map: http://www.satelliteguys.us/thelist/database/Subscription/images/CIEL2_SB37.jpg) and SB30 (map: http://www.satelliteguys.us/thelist/database/Subscription/images/CIEL2_SB30.jpg). SM30 is the STL beam but you're probably just as likely to get your own locals before the STL locals are uplinked since they are already available on two other satellites. Watch the uplink reports each week to see what's added and whether anything that is added is on SB30 or SB37. SB36, the OK beam also encroaches on AR (map: http://www.satelliteguys.us/thelist/database/Subscription/images/CIEL2_SB36.jpg). SB41 might get close enough depending (map: http://www.satelliteguys.us/thelist/database/Subscription/images/CIEL2_SB41.jpg). SB38, the Memphis-Nashville beam, seems to far removed (map: http://www.satelliteguys.us/thelist/database/Subscription/images/CIEL2_SB38.jpg). Nashville is on T14.
