Isnt there a Movie channel from Canada in the clear, MPEG4 HD also?

Try G13. Two channels, one US and one Canadian. It's scrambled right now, but it comes and goes.

I don't think that's the one they mean, Brother Jim, I think they mean Movie Central. It was on lyngsat for awhile as ITC, but no one has ever reported seeing it.

Stogie I think that was 2-3yrs ago, remember seeing it in places but not since then.

Movie Central went 8PSK a while back...dang maybe a year ago

I guess it's the C-band Movie Central that went 8PSK, yeah, that was more than a year ago, maybe even 3 years. Too bad, as that was a nice freeby for quite a long time. And the HD was of a low enough bitrate that it easily played on my computers too, and yet was quite watchable.

But I thought that the MC being talked about above was the Nimiq2 version of Movie Central being temporarily FTA. I used to find occasional things on Nimiq FTA all the time. However in the past year or so, next to nothing has been FTA there, just a couple DEMO channels, one of which creates havoc with two of my receiving modes (VLC and ROKU), but plays well via STBs for some reason.
