Hello. New member. Have a motorized ku system. Fortec Star 39 in. dish. w/motor.Traxis 3500 receiver. I've had the system for about a year. Really like sports feeds. To get more sports feeds should I go with C- band or an hd receiver? I can't afford a 422 rec. unless someone produces a more affordable one than the Qualitv. Thanks .ga.bulldog

To me, it seems like most Sports Feeds are in HD on C Band, so both if you can.

If you've got a pretty hot computer, and feel comfortable tinkering with it, you might look at a DVB-s2 PCI card, which you could slave to your Traxis ( via dual lnbf) and the PCI card/computer combo could handle 4:2:2 and HD for you.
It takes some thought , because a pc based system is more kludgy than a dedicated stb, but it works just fine for feed hunting.
I can recommend the CS8000, if you want a dedicated stb pretty cheap from ebay.

Thanks guys.I get quite a few basketball feeds on ku. Are there many on C - band?
