Getting a new deal under wife.

rkmaldonado, if you want to do this the right way, play CSR roulette until you get what you want . It can be done.

If you want to go the legit route, you might be able to get a VIP722 for $75 with the Dish'n it Up thing. (they said I could trade my 522 for a 722 for that price, sounds like you're looking at a similar trade)

Upfront Costs

I could probobly ge them to give me the VIP 722, but not the VIP 612. I now have 2 HDTVs and need them both to have an HD source and DVR capabilities. The DishStore deal would give them to me both for free with money on top to boot. If I were still under contract I would not be bitch'n about it. It just sucks that you are considered less of a subscriber because you have been a faithfull customer.

Why stop at stealing equipment? Why not get some hacked cards and steal the service too?

Lying and scamming to save a few bucks on TV seems...well...really pitiful.

i don't think anyone is talking about stealing anything. i think we are talking about poor upgrade policies!

The 612 for free as well? Hell even Dish does not offer that. It is a $99 lease upgrade fee as long as you have a 722 as the primary.

Just play the "cancel" game. I was at the end of my promo period as well. I called up to "cancel" and they transferred me to an account specialist. I told them I was going to switch to the current promo my cable company was offering. After some negotiating, I ended up with:

-free upgrade to the VIP722 from a 625
-free install of the second dish
-HD essentials free for a year (negotiated this instead of the 3 free months/$120 credit promo)
-DVR Advantage (AT100)
-kept my Cinemax for .01 deal

I pay $40.97/mth for a year...
