Getting ABCeHD channel?

I just had DirecTV installed last week and discovered that I have access to the ABCeHD channel but no other east or west coast national channel even though I *have* our own local ABC affiliate to watch. Is this just a mistake I shouldn't tell D* about?

UPDATE: Looks like they caught on and shut it off. It was good while it lasted.

Just FYI from time to time DirecTV will make one or more of the DNS channels available if one or more of their local affiliates are not able to deliver programming for some technical reason. It often happens during big sporting events for example.

Ah - didn't know that. Another question: since my local CBS affiliate is an owned-and-operated station, do I qualify for the CBS east coast or west coast distant local channels?
