We are switching from regular phone lines to the Verizon Hub, which you cannot connect to the 622 to check for updates (i dont think). Which ways could I connect the 622 to the internet via ethernet?

i have a wireless access point, will that work?

we havent gotten it yet, we were going to hook up the receivers to the router before we switched. do you personally think it is a good phone to switch to?

and also i was hoping to connect to the router wirelessly

I have 1 of my 2 VIP211K's connected to my wireless hub then to a new Verizon DSL modem. Works great. Had a problem when I first connected the 211 up though. I had connected my old pc, my 211 via hardwire and my IMAC via 802.11N. I couldn't get the hub to work correctly and disconnected the 211 and got it to work (setup) fine then reconnected my 211 and everything was "Hunky Dory"

BTW the Wireless hub is a Linksys hub, 802.11B,G and proposed N. I run my IMAC on the N channel, my laptop, IPHONE 3G and IPOD Touch on G.

The 622 has home plig capability vuilt in. You jyst connect a home plug device to your hub and it shoul see the 622. The only problem would be if the homeplug unit and the 622 are on different electrical systems in the home. The 622 is home plug 1.0 so the home plug units are reasonable. I believe there is an entire subject on this website.

If you have not purchased the wireless device, this could be cheaper.
Hope this helps....
