Phonearea is calling lollipop "confirmed".

What I didn't like the sound of was the >5000 new APIs for developers. The old APIs better still be there or old apps will need a whole lot of work to get them on lollipop. This also means that new apps built for lollipip w/some of those new APIs wont be available for older phones.

I would think that their new Google Auto would work with other platforms as well.

I can't see half of the country not buying a certain brand car, because their car is not compatible with their phone.

Yeah I agree. There might be some like me who would like the option of having it but for most it will not be a issue.
