Guide question

Does anyone know if the guides in the VIP222 or the 211 would be able to be extended beyond 2 days via a software update? If its hardware, they messed up when they brought out these receivers with only 2 day guides IMHO. Thanks.

These receivers were set to no longer than 46 hours and no longer. Software may be written to get it to the 9 day guide, but I doubt Dish is going to do this as none of the non-dvr receivers has ever had more. If you want more than the two days you will need a dvr receiver.
