"NBC has renewed the perpetual bubble show for another round despite very low ratings on Friday nights.
The fate of Hannibal was very uncertain. NBC points out the series starring Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelsen attracts the youngest audience of any 10 p.m. broadcast drama, with its originals growing 72 percent with DVR. But even with seven days of DVR playback included, Hannibal has averaged just 3.6 million viewers and a 1.4 rating on Friday night. But those who are watching say the horror drama has been on quite a roll lately, punctuated by a gonzo performance by guest star Michael Pitt as Hannibal Lecter's patient Mason Verger."

Yeah! If you're not watching Hannibal, you'e not watching one of the best shows on all of broadcast and cable television IMO.

Here's a juicy morsel, indeed. Toward the end of Season 2, we will meet the recurring character of Margot, a patient of Dr. Lecter's who has issues stemming from her serial killer twin brother's abuse of her. (In fact, she once tried to kill her kin in retaliation!) So who, of course, will this broken women strike up a romance with? Yep
Hannibal (perhaps NBC's best show IMO) returns to the air for 13 episodes starting on 4 June 2015. Don't forget to set your timers.
Two in to S3, and it's just basically unwatchable. No direction, just blood and impressionistic (arsty-phartzy) camera work and CGI...and more blood. Each hour goes nowhere...except over budget in blood. Timer gone!

'Hannibal' canceled before Season 4

"Hannibal" has officially been canceled ahead of Season 4.
Following news of the show's cancellation, De Laurentiis tweeted: "#Hannibal was always in danger of cancellation due to subject matter, and others have expressed interest in partnering with us."

I seriously doubt anyone will touch it. Funny how so many people assume Netflix or Amazon will pick up a proven loser just because "it's too good for broadcast TV" This season was just a F'n mess!
Resurrection of show now even more unlikely...Dancy and Mikkelsen released from contracts.
