Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone - HBOmax

Going to do all of what is in the books, instead of part of the books that became the movies.

As someone who read them, there is a lot missing.
True, but I have never seen a movie that included all the details of the book. IMO they are entirely different art forms, and producers need to make different decisions on what provides a proper flow and balance. I think the HP films, especially the first couple achieved a nice balance. I fear that these remakes will end up too long and will feel dragged out.

I also read them all.

HBO did a good job with the "Golden Compass" series, exceeding the original movie. So, if I sub to HBO again, I'll try to watch it and see.

New generation to capture. Maybe lightening in a bottle twice?
The book is always better than the movie. A mini-series could right that.

*Thinks back The Expanse.* Maybe not, but it could fill things in better.
