Has anyone had problems pairing Hopper remotes ?

I normally control my Hoppers with universal IR remotes, so I unpaired and used the original remotes with Joeys in other rooms. They paired fine with the Joeys. The Hopper is also connected to a TV in another room so I purchased an additional 40 remote so I could control it from the other room. The new remote will not pair with it. Thinking I might have a bad remote, I tried the remote that was originally paired with it and it would not pair either. I also tried them with the 2nd Hopper and they would not pair with it either. All the remotes will pair and unpair with any of my three Joeys without a problem. Anyone else have a problem like this?

You have to be pretty close to the Hopper to pair the remote , try again but a lot closer.

That worked. It is interesting that the Joey would pair from 6-7 feet away but the Hopper has to be much closer. Thanks.
