A Hawkgirl TV show could be coming soon to The CW. With three hours a week of DC Comics-based television already scheduled for the network by early next year, a separate Hawkgirl TV series starring Ciara Renée is also being planned, according to SpoilerTV on Sunday. The project is said to be in the early stages of development, but will likely get a straight to series order if the network moves forward with it. The CW already has “Legends of Tomorrow” on its 2016 lineup, which also stars Renée.The Hawkgirl character is part of one of several spin-offs that comes from the hit TV show “Arrow.” After “The Flash” introduced fans to The Atom, the “Legends of Tomorrow” spinoff was born, and it will include characters from both “Arrow” and “The Flash” as well as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl. While Hawkgirl is technically a “new” character, the winged beauty has appeared in an episode of “Smallville” (played by Sahar Biniaz) and has been seen in animated form in “Justice League.” The live-action Hawkgirl is a reincarnated woman whose ancient warrior persona manifests itself with wings that grow from her back.
