HD info on Channel 570

Hi All,

Just finished looking at the forums on Directv and came across this.

The link indicats that on channel 570 they will be giving a update to the rollout of HD at 6am.. tommorow.

This has been confirmed.

Hope this eases the pain a little bit.

They were supposed to put on up today at noon on channel 498, but it never showed up.

Thanks for the information. I've tried to view "Customer Care Broadcasts" in the past and I'm not authorized. Hopefully...this is going to be real info from the horses mouth.

Finally. Maybe they will shed some light on the subject at hand. I think they had to. I think there was a lot of pressure from a lot of people when they fell short at the deadline. I think they probably received a record number of calls yesterday and decided to minimize the congestion and confusion they would release a statement.

I think DirecTV should be blasting this on their website as well. Additionally, they have had a tremendous ability to e-mail me religiously about PPV....how 'bout utilizing that tool as well.

DirecTV as a communications company SUCKS at communicating...

However with that said I just got a note from one of my contacts who confirms this channel will be in place tommorow (although he said he believes it will not be coming from the new D10 satellite)

I have placed notice on the homepage.

Lets hope it shows up and we don't have a repeat of Wednesday.

This doesn't sound good in terms of seeing any channels light up soon....they certainly wouldn't make an annoucement at the same time if the channels were going live at 6am, and I doubt they would bother with this show if it wasn't only going to be a few days more like sunday.

You guys are going to be a little disappointed in the morning, I believe. Channel 570 is one of the partner network channels. It's only available to employees and retailers and people like that. A normal person won't be authorized to view it. It's going to be more like an internal update.

I have to agree. This looks like they are putting damage control parties in place.
