Read the news: http://www.metnews.com/articles/2006/dire091906.htm

"In every case, whether sooner or later, the scheme becomes apparent to the consumer, whether it is the appearance on an invoice of an improper charge or the appearance on the television of an inferior image. In either case, the customer is being deliberately cheated, because he is either paying for something he has not agreed to pay for . . . or paying for something he is not receiving (image clarity...)"

The handfull of you guys that turn every other thread into an HDLite thread should persue this.

No, because a lot of people like retorq don't care. And as long as a lot of customers are happy with HD-crap, then it saves E* and D* a lot of money on satellite transponders.

and sucks for us all !protest

Thanks for the good news. We (the customers) deserve true HD video as identified by international industry standards.

Furthermore, we should not allow Echostar to force us into choosing between receiving more HD-Lite channels, and a lesser number of full fidelity High Definition channels .

We want both!

Moving this discussion to a separate thread.

Everyone has the power just drop the HD packages and watch how quickly things change!!!

yeah...then they have a big board meeting of the clueless pointy-haired bosses where they decide the only reason they are losing subscribers is a lack of interest, that HD is no longer profitable, and then they drop it entirely.

Better move this thread into the D* side or Mota will blow a coronary.

This Cohen guy seems like he has it together. Id join in a heartbeat. .
As for what I "get" I really dont care about rebates or coupons as long as the end result was "True HD"
