HD NETWORKS IN SAN FRANCISCO - question

I friend of mine just moved to San Francisco and took his dish network system with him.

We were wondering how can he get the networks in hd there, I see on the channels in sat 119 channels 6438, 6439, etc. I told him that he just need to report his new address to dish and pay for them. Am i right ?

Yep, you have to tell DISH you moved so they can activate the locals in your new area

Does he have a 1000.2 dish? He'll probably have to see 110/119 and 129.

I have a Dish 1000 (not a 1000.2) and hit 110-119-129.

All of the SF channels are on 110 for SD and 119 for HD.

(Of course, some of the national HD come from 129.)

Also, I expect that as of mid-January, a 1000.2 won't be necessary any longer, because 129 should be stronger with Ciel-2.

He's still going to need a 1000.2 or have 2 dishes if he wants HD.

I meant a 1000.2 as opposed to a 1000.

I'd rather have a 1000.2. I think the DPP triple that comes with the 1000.2 is more reliable than the DPP Twin + DP Dual of the 1000.
