HD PPV 2.35:1 Are Movies Shown Open Matte?

It looks like they turned on the additional HD PPV channels today

Does anyone know if the Cinemascope 2.35:1 aspect ratio movies are shown with the appropriate bars on the top and bottom or are they shown open matte?

I am interested in ordering movies and saving them to my External HD but only if they're OAR.

I sampled "Black Snake Moan" (the first 10 minutes of PPV are "free")

It took up the full screen, so I went to IMDB to see how it was filmed.

2.35:1

Dammit!

I agree.....if they want MY $4.99, I'd better get the Director's vision.
