Hey gang...
I am just reading the manual fro my new HD Tivo, (my install is tomorrow) and I noticed something. The manual says that "Ordinarily, your HD DVR produces tones to indicate when certain buttons on the remote are pressed. If you use Digital Audio Out or HDMI for audio, you will not hear these tones when watching programs with Dolby Digital audio.".

Can I take that to mean that I wont hear the cutesy Tivo noises I am used to if I use my optical connection? If so, does any one know why??

Not true - I get the cutesy pops, clicks, whirrs, and all things Tivo via the Optical Output on my HDTivo.
