HD Upgrade Question

I've been having trouble with my Dish 500 system and thought I might want to just upgrade my 625 to a Vip722.

I have a dish 500 with two LNBS (110/119). If I add HD, will I need a second dish or can I replace my 500 with a 1000.2 and get everything. Also, how many sats can I pick up with the 1000.2?

I live in AL and want to get all HD channels available including locals.

If you upgrade to HD they will automatically replace the old 500 dish with the appropriate HD dish for your region. I believe the 1k.2 picks up just 3 sats but im not completely sure as im in the midwest where all we do is 500 and 1000+ (110/119/118/129) installs

If you get local channels from Huntsville, you will need a 2nd dish pointed at 61.5 for HD locals. And if the tech is mart, he will not replace your current dish 500 with the 1000.2, just swap out your lnb for a Dish Pro Plus Twin.
