Last night I was shutting down for the night when I heard a clicking noise. Upon further investigation, it is the HDD in my 722. I can now clearly hear it spinning and clicking, which I didnt use to before. Usually this means the HDD is going bad, so will Dish replace the 722 for free or will I be stuck signing another agreement and paying a new lease fee. I do pay the $6 for the service on the account, but after shelling out $100 last friday for 2 HD solo boxes to replace my 222, the last thing I want to do is be stuck paying money to replace leased equipment that is starting to fail. I would also hope they would enable the USB so I can transfer and save my DVR content to the new unit, but that might be wishful thinking.

any thoughts since this is the first time I am dealing with a potential equipment failure with Dish.

thanks

Since you have DHPP, it will cost $15.00 for shipping for a replacement.
