HDMI Cable from Joey 3 to TV

When we had our Dish system put in we ended up with a very long, stiff HDMI cable going from the Joey 3 to the tv. I was assuming the Dish Tech put it in but perhaps it was already there. Anyway can I replace that with any other HDMI cable that is just shorter or is it something special for Dish? Thank you. By the way I just discovered that you have to take the little socks off the end of the optical cable. Stays in the tv better with that off. LOL
