I haven't tried, and there do seem to be some unusual technical requirements.
The latest version of PVRexplorerPro claims that honor.
It's also the latest version in a family of extractor programs used to pull video off 501/508/510 PVRs (and their Canadian cousins).
You will want to browse the Yahoo PVRexplorer Group (sort of like a forum)
...and to do that, you'll need a Yahoo account (free).
Info on /DishRip and /DishMod are required reading, too.
I think there have been posts on this forum explaining many of the details.
