Help on Dish 1000.2 in Baltimore

Hi folks, I just recently moved to Baltimore from Salt Lake (were I had a great shot at 129). I just recently installed a dish 1000.2 and pick up 110 and 119 BUT CANT, FOR THE LIFE OF ME, FIND 129!!

110 and 119 both with a signal level of 90% and Quality 75% (my dish is plumb, E 27, SK 129). I can't seem to increase the signals anymore. If I just tweak the bolts, the quality decreases - so I figure I am maxed out.

When I place the aluminum foil on the different LNB's (standing from behind the dish) 129 is on the left, 119 is on the center and 110 is on the right. So I know that the correct LNB are picking up the right birds. Any suggestions on picking up the 129??

where does the sats show up in the matrix box

just re-cleared the check switch

just have 110 and 119.......it's as if though I get a little part of 129 and then I loose it?

in the matrix you have 1 2 and 3 where are the 119 and 110 at?

119 is on 2 and 110 is on 3

but when 129 does show up, I have 129 on 1, 119 on 2 and 110 on 3.

ok here we go you are seeing 119 with the 110 lnb so you need to go down 4 degrees and then back to the east

HIFI, your are like the satellite policeman - LOL. Ok so bring my Elevation down 4 degrees to 23 and turn dish to the left (standing behind the dish)...........I would go out and do it now, but I am beat! Tomorrow, will follow up then. Thank you again.

also if you haven't done so yet reset the skew to 130

one thing that just came to mind is I hope you can even see 129 from your location

I live in Baltimore. You are going to have to lose the 1000.2 dish and get two 500 dish. On one 500 is for 110 and 119. The other 500 to get 61.5. Even if you get the 129 signal with the 1000.2. The signal is going to be real weak. Trust me.

I was starting to question my BIRD DOG!! LOL - OK, cause this morning, I went out and let me tell you, just the slightest movement and I would lose signals. OK so two dishes ( do I need a 500 or just a regular 18")

Baltimore is in the Eastern arc. Why not just call Dish and get them to switch you to the 1000.4?
