Help please!!

I do not have room for that kind of setup. My tv is on top of my amoire w/ant behind it.

The only splitters I have seen have two out with one in. Do i simply hook the ota to one out, and the tv2 coax to the other with the in running to the ant input of the tv?

Yes. The splitter doesn't know it is running the wrong way. Works fine and is very cheap.

The only thing about a splitter is that it is technically illegal. You will broadcast the TV channels out of your antenna. Someone could point an antenna at your antenna and watch your modulated signals. An insertion splitter does not pass the modulated signal back out the antenna. Next year stations over 55 will go to cell phone companies, I wonder how many complaints will be generated by people broadcasting modulated TV channels on cell bands?

What is an insertion splitter? I am eager to get this done, and i am very thankful for everyone's input.
