I am confused.

After reading the "FIRST LOOK: Dish 500+ Dish 1000+ and the Dish 1000.2!" thread, I am confused on what Dish I have installed at my home.

Sorry, I do not have pictures now but can post soon.

I do know that the dish has "1000" on it but the LNB (I think that's the term) looks like the LNB in the "500+" picture displayed in the thread mentioned above. The confirmation email I got from E* said that I did not need a 1000.

I have the HD Silver package (Installed in 7/2006) with 211, DVR 625 and 311 receivers set up for 4 rooms. I can see the 110, 119 and 125 satellites are being used.

Can anyone tell me what Dish I have or should I post pics 1st?

Thanks

Simple really.

Dish 1000's use the same LNB as the Dish 500, in order to pick up the 110/119 satellites. The dish1000 also uses and extra LNB to pick up the 129 satellite.

The LNB used on the Dish500+, and Dish1000+ are different. They are for 118.7, and 119, 110 and optional 129.

Since you are subscribed to the DishSilver pack you either have a Dish1000, or Dish1000+. You wouldn't need the plus model antenna's if you are not subscribing to the international channels. You are most likely using the Dish1000.

Dish500 antenna's only pick up the HD content on 110. Unless you have another dish somewhere, you are using either the Dish1000 or Dish1000+.

corydbstv,

After looking at your pictures, I have the Dish1000 LNBF. I wish I had the 1000+ because my 129 signal is pretty low.

Thank you for the information! Very helpful indeed.
