Help With Error

Hello,

I actually called dish on this and they told me to just wait for a few hours and then call back!?!?

When I turned on my TV I was greeted with a nice error message...

Warning 981

Boot Recovery
Bootstrap Id 1532
Hardware Id RMKB
Receiver Id 107xxxxxx

Vital program information
will now be downloaded
into your reciever _
Do not disturb or unplug
Until this screen disappears
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | <---- Progress bar that has been stuck qt 50% for two hours


Does anyone know what I should do, or should I just wait a few more hours and call Dish back.

The Receiver is a VIP722k DVR

If you've waited a couple of hours since you first called dish and the problem still exists, call dish and ask them what steps to follow next. I think you are probably fouled, but perhaps they can guide you through steps to get back in service.

You can unplug it. But you will not be able to use it until it downloads and programs that portion of the software.
Did anything happen last night to the rcvr?
If it will not complete that portion of the process your rcvr will need to be replaced.
