Help with ffwd & reverse issue.

I’ve had DIRECTV for 20 years and and always liked how after fast forwarding and hitting play it would automatically go back a few seconds assuming you overshot the ffwd and would do the same with rewinding but recently I switched to DTV Stream and noticed it does the opposite, when I fast forward then hit play it actually forwards further into the program so I’m missing some content, and it does the same when rewinding.
Is there any adjustments to this?

I doubt there is any way to adjust it. Probably just how it works.
