The first time you lucked out because Charlie had a chance to buy the Rainbow satellite for cheap, and there were not a lot of HDs on the market.

Things has changed a lot since then, and VOOM's own lack of effort to put new content up had sealed its final DBS demise, DISH has planned to terminate VOOM for some time now, with the latest court refusal to issue an injunction VOOM's death is certain.

Look DISH has been bleeding for the last three quarters, most significantly the very last quarter. If the trend continues Charlie will lose his shirt. VOOM did nothing to help DISH in the past few months. What DISH needs is 100 mainstream HDs (having HD content or not) at $30/mo. to get back in the game, and the only way to do so will be to get rid of all VOOM to spare some room, because they will not have any new satellite up in time to do this otherwise.

So stop it already. One Sci FiHD base is bigger than all the VOOMers combined. Do you really think DISH has a choice?

So basically, you want E* to be a carbon copy of D*? Why not add all the channels D* has with the addition of Voom to make it unique to anything D* has? E*'s bleeding had a lot more to do with not being able to add the quantity to compete with D*, not because of Voom.

Thanks for the heads up. I guess we can't blame E* for their poor earnings. I mean they had an opportunity to keep adding channels and they didn't.

So posting this in an existing thread and being called out on it wasn't good enough?

Post the numbers or STOP IT ALREADY.

Oh, by the way, all those missing Voom channels are still up, they are just hidden from our EPG. It's not about fanbase, viewers, or bandwidth. This is a contract manipulation at the expense of customers.

Called out where? Charlie said so himself.

Look you can have your wishful thinking all you want I don't blame you, it is painful to lose your loved one, but sometimes if you use logic to think it through, you may not be disappointed as often.

Because they don't have more room to add more. Of course if they had enough bandwidth to spare VOOM would not be in trouble.

They didnt have the ability to keep adding channels until they cleared of the Sky Angel channels and moved a few conus locals to spot...

Proof please.

And, didn't you say Charlie said SciFi had a bigger viewing audience than all the Voom channels?

Which is it? Bandwidth or Charlie?

Guess you couldn't find one of the other Voom threads. Oh wait, you need attention so you can make others feel bad so you can feel good...

No I want all the VOOM people to realize sometimes it is not all about you. DISH is in trouble, the only way to get back in the game is to get to the 100 HDs sooner than later, and use the $30 HD-Only pack as a levarge, the only way to get there is to get rid of VOOM and leave room for more mainstream HDs.

At least the Sky Angles folks had more senses:)

What a deja vu. I remember when VOOM died the first time around it was exactly the same outcry, memory still fresh in some minds?
