Homezone DVR & No Sat Signal ???

I just moved and was informed that we could no longer get a signal at our new address. I would like to watch a couple of shows I have recorded before sending back receiver. Is this possible without a signal or sat line in?

Also, I was wondering if there was any way I could completely back-up the DVR on the Homezone receiver onto an external HD or my computer. I usually do this by recording in real time via tv tuner card, but can't get Homezone to finish start-up. It is hanging on phase 2 starting screen. So, right now I can't access my recordings at all.

Any help is very much appreciated!

you can watch what you have recorded already without plugging into a satellite dish. but you can't back it up to an external drive

Thank you for the tip... I did finally get a technician who knew something and at least now I can access my DVR recordings. Aparently Homezone changed their software and I needed to press the OK button on the remote to get past the start-up screen that was stuck at phase 2.

So, I will just get my recordings off via computer tv tuner. I am just happy I didn't loose all of my recorded programs.
