I just hooked up with Dish Satellite. Now I would like to hook my Sony DVD Recorder Model # for Sony is RDR-GDX455, to my Dish Receiver.receiver model for dish is VIP22K.I need to know how to hook the Video Audio, and coaxial cable.A diagram would be nice. Thank You

You have two options:

1. Connect the coax to the in-house distribution connection and you'll get SD video and audio same as TV2 if in dual mode.

2. Connect the analog video (yellow) with audio (red/white) which will show only what's showing on TV1.

Unless you have a 222k or a 722k, which has composite outputs for TV2 as well as coaxial.

HDMI-TV to Recorder and A/V color wire on recorder to receiver

A/V color wire on recorder (IN) to receiver (OUT) and another A/V color wire on recorder (OUT) to tv set (IN). When you record, you have to turn on the machine and tv to video input option.

You might experience some problems with Sony Recorders. Some channels won't let you record. This is how Sony make their recorders.
