For the most part, H3 works with existing Dish IR commands but it does do a few things differently than previous Dish receivers. I'm hoping someone can help track down codes since you can't learn commands from it's remote (RF only).
Search used to be on the # button at the bottom of the keypad. H3 changes that to Help. I found a couple codes for Search on Remote Central but they all call up the help menu. So there's no way to initiate a search without going into the menu.
H3 has a Home button. A code for this would be handy although you can get there from the menu.
H3 has an Apps button. The Blue button calls up apps but only if you are viewing without anything else displayed.
H3 has an Options button. Red does the same thing, at least in most contexts. I'm not sure if this would be good enough.
Be advised, H3 treats the discrete POWER OFF command as power ON! H2 treated it as a power toggle. The workaround is to issue a POWER ON command followed by POWER (toggle).
