Hopper 3 Says It's Recording, But It Isn't

I was watching TV with a full buffer and behind live TV by 50 minutes. I paused the TV because I needed to do something else that would take about 20 minutes. Since I knew that the TV would start back up after only 10 minutes, I hit the record button. The DVR confirmed by telling me that the show was being recorded in the lower right corner of the screen. But after 10 minutes, the TV started back up anyway. I hit the record button again and the DVR responded (in the lower right corner of the screen) by telling me that the show is already being recorded. An hour or 2 later, I went to the DVR screen and there's no recording. The Hopper 3 said it was recording, but it wasn't.

This behavior has happened to me a few times before. Sometimes it works as it should, but sometimes it doesn't.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I think it's a bug.

Pull the plug and wait a minute and plug it back in and it might clear some glitches. I used to do this after every new software update since DISH has buggy software sometimes.
