Hopper 3 transceiver firmware update?

Hi, new here and I have a question about the transceiver firmware update on a Hopper 3.
Does the transceiver firmware version update automatically when receiving updates from Dish. Or does the transceiver firmware version stay the same forever?

That's a good question and I would have to think any Firmware updates are pushed out just like software updates are

Both of my Hopper 3s Transceiver Firmware are 0012. What is your Firmware number? I will check occasionally to see if it ever updates.

My Hopper 3 Transceiver Firmware version is also 12, so it sounds like I have the latest version,

That's very interesting! I don't think I've ever heard anyone talk about "firmware updates" specifically. Even though software and firmware are obviously 2 different animals, I guess I just thought that everyone was using the term(s) interchangeably. I have never noticed a firmware update before, but if we're at "12", I guess it must be happening.
