HOPPER 3 UPGRADES

as a correction for everyone on here, the hopper3 will support 5 joeys for a total of 6 tvs. all other claims are wrong. sorry guys.... however, it looks as though we may see the possibility of more than one hopper3 on an account by q4 of this year or q1 of next. not confirmed yet, just rumor.

Looking to possibly get 1 h3 and no joeys. Hope there won't be any stipulations regarding that setup.

So are Dish's reports incorrect? It still says on the Portal that the Hopper 3 will support up to 7 TVs at a time.

If you get in house tech, they should run dual orange burial cable for you. Also keep we mind, if it's in house tech they will not do any digging with out markings. It's company policy to have area mark before doing any digging . They will also supply pole and concrete if you need that..

If you read what I wrote, you will see that I have already done the trench. I do need to clean it out some because of the rain.

I plan on doing the pole myself (already bought it) because I want it as plumb as possible given that EA seems to be affected more by rain fade . I don't really understand why because EA has a more direct line through the atmosphere, but that is what I have read. Anyway, if I can get it close to perfect, I can get the tech to peak the dish.

Hmmm. This is a little old but it's the most recent Hopper news on the Portal.

I would imagine as well that they change it later. Probably developing another hub to eliminate multiple splitters to keep the moca strong. Just an assumption though...

Any good installer will definitely peak the dish for you. Especially since he will be changing the lnbf. You shouldn't get signal loss in rain unless it's a torrential downpour. If you are, it needs a repoint. Just mention it to him/her at time of Installation

That looks just like what is on the documents that TechWriter downloaded from a dealer, they weren't prepared by Dish, but the dealer. I would take this with a grain of salt until there is actually installations in the field.
