Quick question, if I purchase a ota adapter for my h3, can I hook up to my cable line and pull in the channels from spectrum? Spectrum offers a few channels that dish doesn't and would like to record them. They are not available over the air.

Sorry, no.

To put a nail in that coffin: Absolutely NO!

OTA and cable channel spacing is different. The OTA adapters are designed only for OTA, not cable QAM

And Dish is primarily for satellite reception, with some limited support for OTA, and NO SUPPORT for the competitor, cable.

Welcome to SatelliteGuys. Stick around. There’s a wealth of knowledge here. Not to be so negative, but it is what it is. And there’s a lot more here, especially in the Pub.
