We have two of the original (non-Sling) units with no Joeys and we just LOVE them!

One problem - when we record movies either from PPV or from HBO/Cinemax/Showtime, etc. the volume is greatly reduced and drops off slowly as we watch the movie. The sound is almost completely gone by the end of the movie. This has been going on for many months - I thought someone had raised the issue with Dish some months ago and a fix would be on the way; however, we have seen no fix to date.

Help!

In audio settings on both the Hopper and the TV, check the volume leveling setting. It may help to turn one or both of them off.
