Hopper with sling and Netgear neo

I was wondering if I can use my hopper with sling and a Netgear Neo to stream tv to a room in my home that isn't hooked up with a Joey? Everything I've read leads me to think I can't. It looks like the Neo uses the Sling player app and the hopper uses the dish anywhere app. Does a hopper with sling work with the sling player app? Is there another device other like the Neo that has the dish anywhere app on it?

I don't believe you can do that with Dish's built in sling or it's sling adaptor along with the sling app. Try it and let us know.

Hopper with Sling will not work with the Sling Player app. It did at one time but Dish changed it.

Correct will not work. Beyond that my and reading reviews other's experience with the NEO is generally horrible, that includes using the Sling app. The Roku app btw isn't really the full app, it allows you to send a slingplayer image to your tv from your smartphone or tablet.

The WD Live box however has the Slingplayer app that works flawlessly, terrific picture. But alas, it too won't work with the Sling on a Hopper.
