I currently have 4 Hoppers with Sling with Dual OTA tuners. A Hopper Plus on one Hopper with Sling and a Super Joey setup.
I'm looking to possibly upgrade to 3 Hopper 3's , Keep the Hopper Plus, Keep the OTA tuners, and then add 2 Joey 4's for my potential setup.
With a family of 5 we record and watch alot of TV. We need the DVR function the most. With this setup I would lose a DVR but maybe I can add External hard drives to make up the difference?
Correct me if Im wrong but I don't believe Dish will not let us have 4 Hopper 3's to have an even swap? Or maybe I can?
My questions are do I need to upgrade my Dish, LNB, Nodes, or Switches to add the Hopper 3's and Joey 4's or can I use my existing equipment and just swap out all the boxes? Will The OTA tuners work with the Hopper 3's?
I'm currently aimed at 110, 119, and the former 129. I have one leased Hopper with Sling and a Leased Super Joey. Everything else I own.
All my Tv's are now all 4K Tv's. Will I notice a difference in picture quality? I think I can save on one DVR fee? Is this worth it? Will I notice the speed difference in the receivers? Any other positives I forgot? Any help I can get would be appreciated!

. one could be leased the rest would need to be bought.. the hopper 3 support the OTA usb dongle as well the hopper 3 can record 16 shows at once so you won't lose the dvr you might have to upgrade the switch unsure on that. the main hopper will do full fledged 4k HDR the 4k joey will not do HDR as it's been said to get the joey 4's for the HDR... the hopper3 has an amazing picture. depending on the type of tv your running. i belive the max is 7 hopper 3's on one acct!!!
