Hopper with sling

<div class="bbWrapper">Hi, can someone help me understand why I cannot use my Hopper for an ota dvr? we&#039;re still using it to watch dvr. Recordings . If I install a ota adapter , and scan?? It seems like the unit is completely functional except for no channels or guide. We lost what we had for a guide, which was all on demand when i disconnected the dish. We are still using the wired joey, and can still steam netflix. I appreciate any info to help me understand. Thanks...</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">I am not 100% certain but I believe that DISH simply does not allow you to record anything if you are not paying them. I know you want a more tecjnical answer but sometimes business trumps what is technically possible.</div>
