how bad am I getting screwed?

Currently have the Gold 250 package (SD) for $57.99
plus I have two purchased receivers, so am paying a $5.00 addl. rcvr fee.
My current bill is $62.99
I am pulling HD locals OTA currently.

I am looking to upgrade satellite package
to HD with locals on the dish.

The quote that I am given when I call dish is:
They will give me one new rcvr but will have to pay $75 fee for the second rcvr.
Gold 250 package is still - $57.99
Addl $10 monthly fee for HD add-on
Addl $7 monthly fee for the leased HD recvr.
Addl $5 monthly fee for the locals.
New bill is going to be #57.99 + $10 + $7 + $5 = $79.99 plus a one time $75 fee
for the new second HD rcvr.
I have two HD tv's so I will need two units.

I also am told that all this can be done with my current DishPro 500 dish.
No need to get a new dish.

I have been with dish for probably 15years, but looks like I could likely get a better deal to switch to directTV and get a ton of freebies, I am not partial to either, so
I really don't care.

What do you guys think, am I talking to the wrong person, not asking the right questions or would I get better/worse deal after this magic 2/1/10 date?

I'd wait tile next month when they allow more tuners per account.

You're not gonna get most of the HD from having just a single 500 dish. You need to be able to get either 61.5 or 129 to get a majority of the HD programming. You'll need either a 1000.2 (WA)110/119/129 or a 1000.4 (EA)61.5/72/77 or another 500 aimed at just 61.5.

After Feb 1, locals will be included in the packages. Also, what receiver do you have now and what are you planning to get? An all new receiver fee program is going into effect. You are ADDING HD and another receiver. Your bill goes up. Don't know why you think you're getting screwed.

Are you under contract? You can sign a new 2 year contract and you won't need to pay anything upfront and no charge for the install of the new dish needed to get HD.

I currently have an older 508DVR that I don't pay a DVR fee for.
and a 311 rcvr.
I want the Gold250 package, but with HD and Locals in HD.

The realize that my costs are going to increase, but the reason that I
made the comment about getting screwed, is that I have never asked for or gotten
any deal from Dish. Just paid my $63/month fee for 15 years.

I see in the promos that If I were a new customer, I could get free DVR, free movie channels, reduced package pricing for 12 months, 3 free HD rcvrs, etc.....

Looks like they would cut me a little break here.
All that I am offered is one free HD rcvr.

Have you logged into you acct on line to see what offers there are for you? Still think I'd wait till after the 1st as close as that is now though.

722Ks are excellent receivers

After the first one extra receivers are 17 bucks per month each plus the mandatory 6 buck a month DVR fee.

So if you had 3 722s first one free, 17 bucks, 17 bucks, 6 buck DVR fee.

Your monthly cost just for fees will increase 40 bucks, then add the high def charge of 10. 50 BUCKS EXTRA PER MONTH, less whatever you pay currently probably 5 bucks a month per receiver after the first

plus you will be under a 2 year contract E can change fees and prices at any time.

E is no longer a good choice for TV at least not for multi DVR homes

Are you sure you are getting a receiver "FREE" I bet the receivers will be the property of DISH Network and you will only be leasing them. And as others have said wait till after Feb 1st and let the dust settle.
