how do i get started

realy this is for my last post, i really need info about the c band bud system and how to get started using one i do have a old echostar dish that is about 7-8' wide. i don't know why i through out the feed horn, but i did keep the trypod thing, and i don't have a mount for it eather. any help would be greatly appreceated because i am new at this but very interseted.
