How do I perform a blind scan? Thanks for help!!!!

  • Server Issues.

We are very aware that there have been system issues the past few days. In troubleshooting the system, it has been determined that the issue is at our provider and is hardware related. As of 12:05 PM ET our provider has moved us to a new server.

Things seem to be running better on this new server. However in trying to diagnose the issue (before finding out it was a hardware issue) we made some system changes which we need to undo. So if you find any issues or errors please let us know in the Operations Center Forum.

Thank you for your patience! Sorry for the issue!

I had the dish, lnb, twinhan_starbox.

But I can't receive any signal. Problem could be: the cable used is rg59 but not rg6. Problem could also be: dish is not aiming the satellite.

I am going to purchase cable and compass tomorrow.
But

There are several questions:

1, If I have a external reciever box, do I need to aim the dish before I do a blind scan? I mean if I just put the dish there, the lnb still might pick up some signal. If the receiver could do a blind scan, I have no need to aim the dish to the sat.

2, Is there any blind scan software for the twinhan starbox?

3, Is the must be rg6 type?

4, if I need to purchase a receiver box, what's recommended? Viewsat 2000 extreme has the blind scan feature?

Thanks very much.
