How do you add attachments to messages

How do you add attachments to messages? Someone is asking in a messages for pictures (attachments) and i don't see how to add any. I can do it in posts but not in messages. Thanks in advance for any help.

You can't in private messages. As they stay in the hard drive forever even after both parties delete them.

If you have Google Photos, Flickr, Imgur, etc, you can upload the picture to your storage and then share the link. That's the best I've come up with.

The software before Xenforo had a Member Pictures Gallery but that was many years ago. You could also share pictures uploaded there.
