Hells waiting room (El Paso,TX)
Delayed/cancelled flight, power outage, school closed, stranded, tree falling on house or car.

The airport had to cancel/delayed a few flights going and coming from Atlanta and some other east coast flights.

In my little corner of the country, upstate New York, we're use to dealing with lots of snow, the streets get plowed promptly and the airport remains open, although often flights can't get here because others are closed. The killer this year was the extended frigid temperatures. Ten below zero and a wind chill of -25 can put the brakes on a lot of things.

A lot of schools around here have used up their "snow days", not for snow, but because it was just too cold for the kids to be out waiting for the buses. Some of them are already taking back days off that had been scheduled in the Spring in order to meet the minimum number of school days the state requires.

Up here in the frozen tundra of ND its just cold.Power outage is rare. The wind blows the snow around so there are some delays and school closings but not that many.We measure our snow in inches (aprox 20inches this year)where other parts of the US measure snow in feet. Freezing rain is rare. When people ask how can you stand that -15F weather I reply you don't have to shovel cold you just put a sweater on.Ill take the cold any day of the week instead of feet of snow or freezing rain.

For some reason the roof in our upstairs office hallway started leaking again, even though it freak'n 8? outside. We've had various issues with trafficking over the last 6 weeks due to blowing snow, road closures, county-wide states of emergency for same, etc., etc., etc...

My friend from Indy got stuck in Charlotte, NC during the one snow storm so he was delayed four days getting back home. He missed our annual trip to the Chicago Auto Show.

We had localized flooding when we received several inches of rain on top of 12"-18" of snowpack. The local Home Depot had to close for a week while they fixed the roof trusses that buckled under the load of wet snow when the roof drains clogged.

So, yeah, the weather has been "interesting"...
